Networks Productions along with Broadway director and
script lyricist, Martin Charnin,  have cast the lead role for the
upcoming Broadway musical, "Annie".  Ten  year old  
Floridian,  Amanda Bronte-Balon, will star as the red-headed
optimistic, little orphan "Annie" in the musical, which is  
scheduled to open in Orlando in September .  Currently, the
professional actress and vocalist is filming  a Sergio
DiGiordanno film, appearing in the title role of "Little
Esperanza" . Amanda will head back to New York at the end
of August in time to begin rehearsals as well as to record the
30th Anniversary "Annie" CD.  The double-CD which includes
solos by  Balon from the never before released "Annie 2"  
production will be on sale in local stores in October

production of "Annie".  This timeless musical  with its
inspirational  optimistic outlook is one that is sure  to be enjoyed

"Annie"  opens  at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center on
September 18th. The show, which will tour  nationally and
internationally continues  through May 2008. Tickets are

Amanda,  is an honor student at  a local public elementary
school.  However, she works with a private tutor while
touring with the show.  Amanda received her  vocal, music
and dance training at the
Daystar Performing Arts
Academy.
She  competed and toured with the academy's  
dance company, as their  youngest member for 2 years,
before leaving to join  the cast of "Annie" in New York.
Amanda is also a graduate of  the prestigious
Lisa Maile
Professional  School of Acting and Modeling
where she  
trained under actors Kevin O'Neill and Justin Smith

Amanda's talent became apparent after being  cast in a community production of "Annie" as the youngest orphan "Molly".  She would
find herself playing the same role five more times;  the last time  being in the in the very   Broadway production in which she now stars
in the title role.  Amanda's brilliance as a dancer, actor, vocalist and model was realized in Hollywood, California in 2005 at the
World
Championships of the Performing Arts Olympics
.   Amanda  beat out competitors from 44 different  countries winning  15 medals (six
of these, gold) for the USA  as well  as the title of  "Champion performer of the World"
As full  a plate as this  all may seem, the showbiz way of life is not new to this  multi-talented,  childstar. Born into a family of
performers the animated, stage savy, Amanda  has been captivating audiences since the early age of three. She has toured both
nationally and internationally and  has been on the road with the
Annie Broadway Tour for the last two years.
