"The New Deal" Hi fellow friends, family and fanz-o-Annie. We have received many, many, many questions about Amanda and this years tour so we just wanted to share our news with you. First of all, thank you so much for all the well wishes and kind words that Amanda has received. They were really sweet and truly appreciated. " I think (she's) gonna like it here" As many of you already know Amanda spent the last 3 years with NETworks. She loved every minute. She met people and made friends that she will keep close to her heart forever. She visited 48 states and learned many essential and valuable lessons. She grew so much both as a person and as a performer and she was blessed to be able to work with some of the finest actors and role models. Most of all Amanda was doing what she loved more than anything and she will always treasure the memories. Amanda finally ended the tour in March (2008) after her 2007-2008 year-long run as Annie. The new tour (2008-2009) resumed on November 18th 2008. Amanda had the opportunity to see the show in Daytona beach and truly enjoyed watching it for the first time from the other side of the stage "Leapin Lizards who woulda guessed" Approximately a month after the tour started the company made a few changes and asked Amanda to help out with the transition process. Madison Kerth (this seasons understudy) would be moving up to take over the lead role of Annie and a new orphan would be prepped to take over the role of "Kate". And so to answer the questions Amanda is back with the tour again but this time for only a brief period while the transition takes place. Amanda will perform as "Annie" in some of the performances (starting at the Kodak Theater in LA). This will give Madison the opportunity to watch the show and will help make the transition period a little smoother. Amanda will also step in as Kate and alternate between the role of Annie and Kate as needed at the discretion of those in charge. "(She) won't be an orphan for long" For those who asked... Amanda will not be staying for the entire tour. She is definitely enjoying being here with the company to help out, but will be returning home to be with her family again, to resume school and to continue her various projects. With Madison being such an amazing little performer and with a phenomenal cast that works so well together we have no doubt that the transition will be quick and smooth and Amanda will be home in a few weeks. It has however been great for Amanda to once again be back on stage with her close friends from the last tour; to meet and work with another fantastic cast and crew, to get to know and spend time with a new group of extremely wonderful orphans and their equally wonderful parents, to spend time with Martin Charnin and Bill Berloni , to snuggle up with Mikey again (and with Oliver) and last but definitely not least to get to travel with Dawn Marie and Deena Additionally it is wonderful to see all our Californian friends again and to perform at the beautiful west coast theaters We want to thank....everyone here for being so warm and welcoming; to NETworks for inviting us back again (and for having been so patient waiting on an answer) Thank you so much to Martin and NETworks for yet again believing in Amanda.. It is truly a pleasure and a privilege to be back again for the next few weeks. Thank you so much to all |
